Fue un concierto maravilloso, pequeño, y las bandas que me vinieron a la cabeza son The New Pornographers, Husker Du, The Housemartins e incluso Talking Heads.
De camino al concierto me encontré con alguien que conozco desde que llegué a Brighton en 2013. Hace caricaturas a los turistas en verano y los dos somos extranjeros en esta ciudad. Las últimas veces que nos hemos encontrado, siempre es el azar que nos junta, hemos comentado lo difícil que se está poniendo vivir en esta ciudad. Los dos tenemos la impresión de estar viviendo en una realidad paralela, donde una terrible guerra acaba de terminar. A veces nos descojonamos. Pero a veces nos miramos a los ojos sin decir nada por un instante, y entonces imagino que nos hemos encontrado en otras vidas pasadas, aún más difíciles que esta. Todo un poco demasiado parecido a los cuentos peregrinos de Garcia Márquez. Pero como dicen Me Rex “the party is never over it goes on until you die” HERMOSX
On the way to the concert, I bumped into someone I've known since I came to Brighton in 2013. He caricatures tourists in the summer and we are both foreigners in this city. The last few times we have met, it is always chance that brings us together, we have commented on how difficult it is getting to live in this city. We both have the impression of living in a parallel reality, where a terrible war has just ended. Sometimes we get discouraged. Sometimes we laugh our asses off. And sometimes we look into each other's eyes, and then I imagine that we have met in other past lives that were even more difficult than this one. All a little too similar to Strange Pilgrims by Garcia Márquez. But as MeRex say in their song/hymn that reminds me a little of Hamilton (not sure why!) "the party is never over it goes on until you die" BEAUXTIFUL
